Ideas for Fascinating Window Treatments Part III.

Custom made blinds Grab & Go blinds are simply a name given to pre-cut shades that you purchase off the self. The widths of a grab and go window blind must be shorter to home as many windows as feasible ( this typically causes a light opening, or show, at the sides of the blind or shade ).

Each window is measured for it's width and height to the closest one / 8" and the blind is built to fit the opening. The material decisions are PVC blinds, wood composite blinds, and real wood blinds. They are often barely dearer than the grab & go blinds. Mini Blinds Mini blinds are made in many slat widths, 0.5 ", 1", 2". Lets start with window treatment ideas for French doorways. One of my all time faves for these sorts of doorways are wood blinds. I suspect that they actually intensify and coordinate well with the look of French doorways. Roller shades have come a great distance since the times when your Granny could have had the old vinyl variety in her kitchen window. Sheer shades for doorways have horizontal blinds ( fabric vanes ) with 2 sheer fabric facings over the fabric vanes. Selecting the right window treatments for outsized windows can be hard, though there are a few selections. One of my fave decisions for outsized window is panel track blinds, which I discussed in my first article. The blind slat's surface can be smooth or embossed with a wood grain. Color selection is limited most frequently to whites but there are some wood tone colours available. You take the measurements in and they cut your blind at the store. The slats are PVC, but so is everything else like the head rail ( usually metal ), lean mechanism ( usually metal ), barrels ( metal best ) and and so on. Like PVC, the color selection is limited most frequently to whites but there are some wood tone and stain colours available. They are really sturdy, UV resistant, water resistant, not as likely to warp than wood and simple to wash.
